Xiaomi has launched Redmi 14c in Japan and by looks of it, it will be Japan-exclusive. Redmi 14c specifications include MediaTek Helio G81-Ultra octa-core processor, 6.88” HD+ display, 50 megapixel CMOS image sensor rear and 13MP front camera.
Communication radios onboard include LTE (FDD) B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B7, B8, B13, B18, B19, B20, B26, B28, B66, LTE (TDD) B38/B40/B41, W-CDMA I/II/IV/V/ VI/VIII/XIX, GSM 850/900/1800/1900, Bluetooth 5.4, wireless LAN IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), and FM radio. It runs latest version of Android, the v14.
Redmi 14c is offered in two RAM + storage combinations – 4GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. Battery life runtimes are not available but they should be pretty good given its power frugal processor and 5160mAh battery.
Xiaomi Redmi 14c is already available in market for 17980 yen, $120, for the base model. The top variant goes for 23980 yen. This is a proper LTE/W-CDMA/GSM device but clearly lacks 5G capability. For that, you will need shell more money and get the Redmi 13C 5G or wait for the 5G variant of 14c, which will probably be called 14c 5G.
