So you have done all sorts of hacks and modifications on your Samsung galaxy Core and now you want to flash and download the stock firmware to get the warranty back. Or you simple want to go back to stock because you are tired of customizing your phone.

Here is a step by step process where you will download the official ROM on Galaxy Core

Here are the requirements, the things you need before you start.

a. ODIN 3.07
b. Samsung USB Drivers download link
c. Stock firmware
download from post 2
d. Official USB cable

Now carefully follow these steps.

1. Install USB drivers on your computer
2. Re boot your computer 
3. Download the ODIN 3.07 from here and save it on PC. Extract its contents to Desktop.
4. Download the firmware from here and save it on your computer. Extract the update file on your Desktop.
5. Now, turn off your Samsung Galaxy Core
6. Boot your Galaxy Core into the Download mode by pressing [ Volume down + Menu + power ] buttons simultaneously.
7. Now your phone will boot into download mode. You will see a “WARNING”. No need to panic.
8. Press “VOLUME UP” button to enter into download mode
9. Now open “ODIN 3.07.exe” on desktop and connect your phone to computer using stock USB cable.
10. When the connection is established with odin, you will be notified with the “added” message that will be displayed in the Odin interface. Also the ID:COM section should be colored on yellow or blue.
11. Click on PDA button and select the .tar file you extracted earlier.
12. Click on “START” button to initiate the flashing process. It will take 10 minutes to flash the firmware

13. Your phone will reboot automatically.

HTC may not release a Android 4.4.2 ROM for HTC Buttery but XDA already has released this KitKat firmware

The ROM has variant of HTC Sense that comes on the One M8.

Requirements for flashing the ROM

* Unlocked Phone from HTCDEV or S-OFF
* Custom Recovery like TWRP or CWM and we prefer TWRP.

If you own an HTC Butterfly we have good news for you as TWRP for it has been made available thanks to developers at XDA. Before you proceed the one that is mentioned below works only on the x920D.

Here is how to download and flash the HTC Butterfly TWRP

– Grab the recovery image from here.
– Setup Fastboot tools and drivers.
– Reboot phone to Bootloader mode(pressing Volume down while powering it on and pressing on Bootloader option)
– Run command prompt on your fastboot directory by Holding Shift(keyboard) and pressing right click on your mouse..choose open command window here..
– Issue commands:

fastboot erase cache

– Then after finishing the previous command..

fastboot flash recovery image.image

Here image.image is the filename of the recovery image you have downloaded.

If you install non-Samsung supported stuff on your phone like TWRP or custom ROMs, you might to go back to Galaxy Note 3 Neo’s stock ROM for some reason, say for warranty purpose.

Guide to download and install Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo stock firmware / ROM easily

First download the official firmware from here (N750) or N7505. You will also need a copy of ODIN that can be downloaded from here.

Extract Firmware zip file that you downloaded earlier from above link. This will give you a .tar.md5 file along with some other files. Extract ODIN too.

Put your Galaxy Note 3 Neo SM-N750 / N7505 in Download Mode by pressing and holding down the Home & Volume Down button together while pressing the Power button.

Start ODIN and connect your phone. Click the AP button and select .tar.md5 file. Make sure only Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time check boxes are selected.

Click on start button to start flashing process. Wait for it to complete. In the end you will get a pass message which confirms that everything went ok.

TWRP an alternative to CWM is now available for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo smartphone. The TWRP for Galaxy Note 3 Neo will allow you to install custom firmware, root your phone and a lot of other great things. TWRP stands for Team Win Recovery Project and it is completely open source which is why it is available for so many phones.

Installing process is not as simple as one for Nexus 5.

To install it you will need a copy of ODIN, a desktop application that lets you flash the TWRP on to your phone. Get it from here and put it somewhere, say like your desktop and uncompress it.

Then download the TWRP file from here and put it into the folder of ODIN. Put your Note 3 Neo in download mode (volume down + home button for few seconds together) and connect it to your computer. Start ODIN and select PDA, select the tar file and click Start.

Finally it is easily root the Samsung Galaxy Fame with ODIN method. Rooting will allow you to install all sorts of applications that require super user permission.

* Download and install cwm 6.0.4.6 with Odin 3.07. You can get it from here.
* enter recovery by pressing volume down + home button together for few seconds together. 
* Advanced > Reboot Recovery
* you will be prompted that root access is missing > select yes to root
* after the reboot of recovery, we recommend updating to latest Super SU from play store
* reboot and enjoy your rooted Samsung Galaxy Fame

So again you will need to have clock work mod installed on your phone to start with.

Clock work mod recovery also known as CWM is available for download for the Samsung galaxy Fame GT-S6812. To flash it place in the PDA section of odin and flash.

You can download it from here and ODIN from this post. Find it in the step 3. Do not uncompress the TAR CWM file. Just select PDA in ODIN; connect your phone in download mode and click on Start button to start the flashing process.

After installing  Samsung Galaxy Fame CWM Recovery you will be able to flash custom ROMs. You will also need to have a custom clock work mod if you are planning to root your Samsung Galaxy Fame now or in future.

You can download it from here. It comes without social networking integration that normally comes preloaded on the stock ROM. However, you can easily install it by installing this.

Unlike Nokia Lumia phones, the X XL and X+ come with Android operating system which means you can root them if you want. So even those do not come with Play store, it is still android with a custom UI running on top. 

An XDA developer was able to root all three of them Nokia X XL X+. The guide is quite simple. First download the framaroot.apk from here and install it on your Nokia phone. Then click on Grandalf and reboot your phone.

That is it – no more following lots of sentences just to root your Android phone. However keep in mind that rooting voids the warranty. Fortunately you can download and flash the stock X ROM to get everything back to factory settings. That way the customer support people will not be able to find out if you ever rooted your phone.

Cyanogen Mod also known as CM 11 is now available for the Samsung Galaxy Core phone. This will allow you to enjoy vanilla android experience that is backed by frequent updates directly from the developers.

The development of this ROM is still in early stages though and quite lot of important things like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, SIM card, camera and audio do not work. Since SIM card is not working you will not be able to make phone calls. However, memory card, and GPS module are working just fine. You can download the ROM from here.

Please note that there are a lot of bugs and we really do not recommend using this Cyanogen Mod ROM on your Galaxy Core if it is your daily driver.
