A month back, we said that the Acer had plans to launch the SSD version of Acer Aspire One D150. It has now been made available at a French retailer and will cost you 299 euros. The SSD capacity is mere 16GB. Rest of the specifications have not undergone any change.
- Atom N270 1.6GHz processor
- 1GB DDR2 RAM
- 10.1-inch display (1024 x 600 resolution)
- Windows XP Home
- 3 USB ports
- 3-cell battery
Although the 16GB SSD may not make the HDD fanboys very happy who swear by the huge capacities of HDDs. But, it is still nice to see companies still rolling out SSD models, despite the fact that more and more netbook manufactures are choosing HDD over SSD. This clearly shows the trend: people see netbooks as full-featured laptops and they want to do everything on them. This is unlike the original concept of netbook, where they were just seen as mobile Internet devices.
