The OWC Aura SSD upgrade kit comes with all the tools required and company’s Envoy Pro drive enclosure allowing repurposing the company’s drive as premium external storage solution.
For that, all you have to do remove the few screws with the tools included and follow company’s video to remove the factory SSD and swap it with OWC Aura PCIE SSD. It features Silicon Motion 2256 flash controller and a Marvell 9230 RAID controller to get best data read and write speeds of 763 MB/s and 446 MB/s respectively.
