This week Apple has updated two of its flagship products. The company unveiled a fourth-generation iPad Pro and a 13-inch MacBook Air 2020. We now have its geekbench results.
Apple’s new laptop features a new Magic Keyboard with scissor mechanism and 10th-gen Intel Core processor options , including a 1.1 GHz dual-core Core i3, a 1.1 quad-core Core i5 GHz and a 1.2 GHz quad-core Core i7.
The first tests carried out on this MacBook Air 2020 indicate that the equipment is 76% more powerful than the previous generation.
Six Colors has carried out a test with the MacBook Air with Core i5 quad – core processor and we have wanted to show the results of the Geekbench 5.
In the test, the MacBook Air scored an individual score of 1,047 points and a multi-core score of 2,658 points.
After a series of tests, it has been concluded that the average score of the MacBook Air is 1,072 (individual) and 2,714 ( multicore ) . In such a way that the 2020 MacBook Air has become a team with a performance 76% faster than the MacBook Air 2018 / 2019, which was only available with an 8th generation Core 1 i5 dual core chip, 6 GHz.
On the other hand, Apple’s new MacBook Air has more storage, from 256 GB of internal SSD storage to 2 TB. It has a T2 security chip, a three-microphone array, Thunderbolt 3 ports, advanced stereo speakers, and support for 6K external displays.
