Lenovo Japan has released a premium case for the ThinkPad X1 and T-series that include the X1 Carbon, X240s, X230, T440, and T430 laptops. The list price is 15,456 Japanese Yen ($146), which is a pretty steep for a case. There are some who do not mind premium for quality.
The T440s / T430 case measures 370 × 265 × 32mm and weighs about 300 grams.
The X240s / X240 / X230 case measures 392 × 257 × 30mm and weighs about 300 grams.
The X1 Carbon case measures 400 × 263 × 30mm and weighs about 320 grams.
The interior has memory foam for shock absorption and has polycarbonate urethane film exterior. On the top right of the flap, a ThinkPad logo is embossed.
