As expected Dell has updated the specifications of Venue Pro 11 and the new configuration includes Atom Z3795 quad core Bay Trail processor.

The new Dell Venue Pro 11 comes preloaded with Windows 8.1 64 bit operating system and only 2 gigabytes of RAM. Other than that there are no other hardware changes when compared to the outgoing model.

The new Intel Atom Z3795 has a frequency of 1.59GHz and reaches 2:39 GHz in Turbo mode. The 2GB RAM is paired with 64GB of internal memory and as mentioned earlier the operating system is Windows 8.1

The new Dell Venue Pro will be available in two versions, WiFi-only and WiFi + 3G and both will be compatible with the accessories already available on the market.

The new model with Intel Atom Z3795 is priced at 496 Euros (WiFi version) and at 560 euros (3G version).

Looks like there will be a slightly cheaper and slower version of the original Acer Aspire Switch 10 laptop released in June.

Dubbed as the Aspire Switch 10 SW5-012, it comes with slightly slower CPU and smaller battery. The resolution is also comparatively inferior to the model released previously.

The original model include an Intel Atom Z3745 processor, a 10 inch display featuring 1366 x 768 pixel resolution and a 5910 mAh battery.

The Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro is a 13.3 inch ultrabook that comes with touchscreen display and features an outstanding resolution which is 3200×1800 pixels. It is only 15.5 mm thin and comes with either Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor. It also has a dual hinge system and you fold the display 180 degrees.

On the other hand ASUS Transformer Book Flip T300 is a 13.3-Incher and comes with a full HD display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels which is of course also is a touch panel. With it you have the choice from complete range of Core i3 to Core i7 processors. The top models also feature the NVIDIA GT820 graphics chip.

Compared to Yoga 2, the Transformer Book Flip has simpler hinges. The angles with the Book Flip a little limited. See this video to get an idea of what we are talking about.

The Transformer Book Flip is aimed at those consumers who want to get as much as possible for their money. You get decent graphics for a reasonable price.

The Flip does not have such a stylish personality and it is not as balanced as the Yoga laptop. But you do get all the benefits of Yoga but not the same high quality. The hinges do not seem to be as durable and as mentioned earlier the angles a little more limited.

HP Slate Book 14 is now official and so are its specifications. Since it is called the Slate Book, it will runs Android operating system. The notebook also has a full HD touch screen as with Android it is highly recommended you have a touch panel.

Our sources say that the HP Slate book will cost between 420 to 540 dollars. The notebook will be available in two colors – yellow which is shown above and pink.

This HP laptop runs V4.3 Android which has TRIM support and runs like a charm on it.

Lenovo has introduced Flex 2 14-inch and 15 inch laptops that bring several new enhancements hardware and design wise. The new shell looks similar to the first generation model but is a bit thinner and lighter. It has a cover now that comes in five colors  white, black, yellow, red and silver.

You will still find the excellent AccuType keyboard and display that can be tilted by 300 degrees. We have been told that it is now much better to use when in stand mode. The 14 and 15.6 inch screens now have full HD resolution, multi touch panel and support for up to 10 contact points.

Regarding the specs, you get either Core i7 or i5 CPU, up to 16 gigabytes of RAM and 1 tera byte of hard disk drive.

You can also go with the 256GB SSD drive or hybrid storage. With the Intel CPUs you get Nvidia GeForce GT 840M GPU. If you go for the AMD A8 APU model, you get the Radeon R5 M230 GPU. Battery life for both types is around 6 hours.

Release date is said to be sometime in month of June with base price of $429.

Lenovo has launched a trio of laptops under its Essential category. These three laptops include B50, G50 and Z50. The new Lenovo B50 is an office notebook for beginners. It offers a choice of a 15.6-inch matte touch display with a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels or with a full HD display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. All new models under B50 series come with Windows 7 operating system on board.

The options are wide: Up to Intel Core I7 fourth generation Haswell processor or an AMD A8 series APU, an optional graphics card called the NVIDIA GeForce 820M or AMD Radeon R5 M230, up to 1 TB HDD or a hybrid SSD, fingerprint reader and audio system by Dolby Advanced Audio v2.

The new G50 is again an affordable and entry-level notebook with a 15.6 inch large HD screen with a resolution of 1,366 x 768. A DVD burner and a HD webcam comes installed too since it is an "essential" laptop. Dolby Advanced Audio v2 hardware is also there again. The G50 runs Windows 8.1

On the other hand, Z40 and Z50 notebooks are multimedia designed. Both come with an optional Full HD display and an option to choose between AMD processors. Other specs include an AMD-R7-series dedicated graphics card, a DVD writer, Dolby Home Theatre, a hard drive and a 720p webcam.

The B-and G-series notebooks will go on sale in U.S. for about USD 400 in July. The Z40 with 14-inch display will hit the shelves in May and the Z50 with 15.6-inch screen will become available in August. The Z notebook is already available from 580 U.S. Dollars.

Not much is known about this laptop except for the fact that it packs a 13.3 inch display with 1366×768 pixels. We do however know that it cost 273,100 Yen and would be made available in late May.

The Atom Z3740D is an excellent quad core processor that handles the windows 8.1 operating system just as well as it handles Android.

Toshiba has released four new 13.3 inch laptops in business series, Portege under R30-A series. Four models under this series along with their prices are:

All look and feel similar measuring 316 x 227 x 26.6 millimeters and weighing about 1.5 kilograms. Common specifications include USB 3.0, optional LTE / UMTS, WiFi, HDMI, VGA, fast SSD and 500 gigabyte hard drive.

It shall be noted that none of these Toshiba laptops are touch enabled. If touchscreen is something you want you might have to take a look around elsewhere.

Toshiba has released two new laptops in Germany. First is Satellite Pro C50-A-1L4 that retails for EUR 460 and comes with Intel Pentium 2020M. Its specifications include 15.6 inch HD 1366×768 pixel resolution, non reflective coating, windows 8.1 64 bit eidtion, 4 gigabytes of RAM, 500 GB of hard disk, DVD burner, Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n, Bluetooth 4.0, 100 Mbit LAN and a multi-SD card reader as well.

Coming to Toshiba Portege Z10-A-12M, it is a whole new different product with 2500 euros price tag and detachable hinge. Yes it is a lot of money but there are not a lot of ultrabooks that offer detachable screens. To compensate the high price tag, Toshiba has equipped it with a powerful Intel Core i7 4610Y haswell processor.

Other specifications include 256GB SSD, 8GB RAM and built in LTE. To output the built in display to a bigger screen, you get micro-HDMI out, HDMI out and Intel WiDi technologies.
