Apple announced its new MacBook Air M3 on March 8th 2024. It comes in two screen sizes: 13 inches and 15 inches. Prices start from 1,095 USD for the former and $1300 for the latter. But, what are the differences between M3, M2 and M1?

By adopting the 3nm process M3 chip on the latest MacBook Air, the performance has been improved by up to 60% from the M1 MacBook Air that was released back in November 2020. Believe us, the M1 MacBook Air is still very fast. The latest version, with the M3, is up to 13 times faster than the Intel-based version.
Except for the CPU, the specifications are almost the same as the M2 MacBook Air released in July 2022, and the memory and storage configuration, display, body size, and weight are also the same. The obvious difference is that the wireless LAN has changed from Wi-Fi 6 to Wi-Fi 6E. Battery life remains unchanged at up to 18 hours.

Port selection includes USB4 Thunderbolt 3 x 2, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, 1080p FaceTime HD camera, Touch ID, MagSafe 3, audio input/output jacks.
The main body size of Apple MacBook Air M3 measures 304.1 x 215 x 11.3 mm/1.24 kg for 13 inches and 340.4 x 237.6 x 11.5 mm/1.51 kg for 15 inches. The main body colors are silver, starlight, space gray, and midnight.
