Once again, it’s time for Vega 20’s new benchmarks, AMD Radeon Pro Vega 20 to be exact. It’s the first implementation of Vega architecture in a 7nm GPU. AMD has repeatedly stated that they are already testing the appropriate GPU in the lab. So far, only a Radeon branded card is confirmed with this GPU and it can be assumed that AMD will bring a corresponding HPC variant on the market.
At Computex 2018, AMD’s CEO Lisa Su said there will also be a 7nm GPU for gamers. However, it is conceivable that there will also be a Radeon Pro Vega Frontier Edition with Vega 20 GPU. This would then be a kind of hybrid – similar to the Radeon Pro Vega Frontier Edition with Vega 10 GPU. However, whether such a card makes sense for players depends on a few factors.
Back to the emerged/leaked benchmark result. The video card is recognized as a Radeon Pro Vega 20. Graphics settings DirectX 12 were selected at a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels with the default quality settings.
However, the results of the benchmark are difficult to compare as the driver level and clock of the Radeon Pro Vega 20 are unknown. Depending on the number of units, the FPS range between 24.1 and 27 FPS. A GeForce GTX 1080 Ti comes with similar or same settings to 90 to just over 100 FPS. In this respect, these results are hardly comparable.

We’re curious if AMD will bring a Radeon Pro Vega 20 this year, which is more than just an HPC card. Purely from the point of view of architecture, there is probably not much to do for players, so that only the clock plus through the smaller production is interesting here.
