Dell Latitude 7285 is a tablet with wireless charging capability. It is a 2 in 1 detachable tablet that can be used in standard laptop mode as-well-as in tablet mode. Prices start at 1200 dollars for the tablet and Dell says you will have to pay extra for the keyboard, charging mat and other optional accessories. Unlike most 2-in-1 windows tablet-laptops, there are batteries inside both keyboard and tablet part.
Dell says when you connect the screen part to keyboard, the power is sent to the tablet first and then to keyboard. It shall be noted that wireless charging is supported by the keyboard part so you must use the tablet in keyboard mode to enjoy wireless charging feature. In order to only charge the tablet, you must use a USB-C adapter. The keyboard has backlit and full size keys for comfortable typing experience.
Dell Latitude 7285 specifications include Intel Core i5-7y54 processor, 4GB RAM and 128GB of SSD storage. The keyboard combo which is optional will cost you 550 dollars in total – 380 dollars for keyboard and 200 for mat. It is also possible to use non-wireless charging keyboard that will cost you 250 dollars. This keyboard is being called productivity keyboard.
It has 12 inch screen which makes it no bigger than a conventional mini laptop that come with 11.6” screen. However, it is much more powerful and capable than netbooks / mini laptops.
