The UX305 series from Asus consists of entry level ultrabooks. These laptops are thin and light but miss some key business features like backlit keyboards. The newest entrant in the US market is the Asus Zenbook UX305CA that features a quad HD+ screen for 699 dollars. To make the deal even sweeter, you will be getting a 50 dollars Windows Store gift card in the package too.
Asus Zenbook UX305CA specs include Intel Core m3-6Y30 Skylake processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB SSD. You will be able to get 10 hour battery life with its 45 Whr battery. Other specs include 802.11n wireless LAN, Bluetooth 4.0, 3x USB 3.0 ports, micro HDMI, headset and SD card slot. Find M3 6y30 benchmark here.
Measuring 12.8″ x 8.9″ x 0.5″, Asus Zenbook UX305CA weighs 2.6 pounds. There is no Ethernet port onboard but you can get a USB to Ethernet adapter for that in case you really need one.
Asus launched UX305LA-FB055T in India last month as well for about 1800 dollars. Blame the taxes and custom duty for the obnoxious price tag.
