Panasonic Toughbook 4k was launched at the CES 2015 event and today the company is rolling out updated versions of it packing the newer Intel Broadwell-U processors. Specifications of this updated Panasonic rugged tablet includes 3840 x 2560 pixel resolution, Intel Core (Ivy Bridge) processor, 16GB of RAM, optional Nvidia Quadro K1000M graphics and big 20-inch IPS display with 4K resolution with aspect ratio of 15:10 and pixel density of 230 PPI.
Ports selection includes HDMI 2.0, Mini DisplayPort, USB 3.0, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and Ethernet. The Intel Broadwell-U processors are most suitable for the mobile users and more specifically for ultrabook laptops as it has estimated power consumption of 15W only. But Panasonic decided to use this high tech processor in this XXL size tablet.
Panasonic Toughbook 4k will be released coming May with a hefty retail price of $ 2999. Nvidia Quadro graphics model will cost higher but we do not have its exact price tag. Regardless of which tablet you get, you will be able to take advantage of digital pen which will be much appreciated by creative professionals and video editors.
