Mediatek officially announced the MT6592 processor back in September. Special feature of this processor was its ability to operate all of its eight cores independently or together depending on the workload. To avoid overheating, the MediaTek MT6592 uses a special algorithm that constantly monitors the temperature and power consumption.
The chipset is backed by four-core GPU and a video system that supports video playback with 4K resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. Its technology, MediaTek ClearMotion also lets you convert / play video at 24 / 30 FPS to 60 FPS to ensure smooth playback and recording. Other specs include dual-band WiFi 801.11n, Bluetooth, and GPS and an FM tuner.
The MediaTek MT6592 also has support for Miracast, a wireless video streaming technology. Release date of first android phone and tablet with this processor will arrive by the end of this year (2013).
