Intel has launched a slew of new Atom powered processors at the mobile world congress 2015 event. Codenamed Cherry Trail, it consists of three systems-on-a-chip and are offered under Atom X5 and X7 brands.

While the new processor share similar branding, they share a striking number of similar features. For instance all pack four cores and four threads and come with 2 MB of L2 cache.
Atom x5 Z8300 runs at a base clock speed of 1.44 GHz and its GPU has turbo frequency of 500 MHz. The Atom x5 Z8500 has similar feature set as the x5 Z8300 but supports maximum of three displays instead of two. It has slightly higher GPU speed too.
The top of the line is the Intel Atom X7 Z8700 CPU that has 1.6 GHz base processor speed and supports maximum of 8GB RAM.
