iBall Excelance CompBook is a netbook that is currently being sold in India. While this netbook has identical specs that are being used in almost all cheap netbooks in India, what makes it different is its price tag but before we talk about that in this iBall Excelance CompBook review, let us take a look at its specs.

It is funny and interesting to see iBall Excelance CompBook packing the same amount of power and specs as the Lenovo IdeaPad 100s that we reviewed few days back that retails for almost six thousand rupees. That said, the build quality of Lenovo 100s is much better and so are its hinges and keyboard that play an important part in judging the longevity and user experience respectfully.
Build quality of the iBall Excelance CompBook is not bad though. Its hinges feel strong and should last for few years but its keyboard quality is poor. Keys don’t give you quality feedback when typing. These should bother you if you are a touch typist like me so if you don’t type a lot, iBall Excelance CompBook’s keyboard won’t bother you much.
Another thing that we did not like is its integrated left and right buttons. We would have preferred separate left and right click buttons. Few other nitpicks include mini HDMI port instead of full size HDMI and narrow screen viewing angles.
Performance wise, iBall Excelance CompBook is a screamer – excellent – much better than you expect. This is chiefly due to the quad core Atom Z3735F processor and flash storage that makes wakeup times from sleep almost instantaneous.
Battery life – 8 to nine hours on a single charge but I really expected more as iBall claims it comes with 10000mAh battery whereas it yielded batter life close to what Atom powered laptops give with 4000mAh battery.
Verdict – so should you buy it? Well, if I was in your place, I would go through this best netbook list and choose either the Acer Cloudbook or latest Asus netbook.
